About Joseph
Joe has been joyfully married to his wife, Emily, since 2004, and together they are blessed with three wonderful children—Lily, Georgia, and Hudson. Raised in western Kentucky, Joe’s passion for basketball runs deep, and he is a devoted Wildcats fan. However, after attending high school in Georgia, he proudly trades his blue for red in the fall to cheer, “Go Dawgs!” His dual loyalty makes him uniquely entertaining to be around.
Before stepping into full-time ministry, Joe spent 12 years teaching and coaching, a chapter in his life where he sharpened his leadership skills and deepened his love for serving others. Responding to God’s call, Joe transitioned into vocational ministry, seeking theological training to better equip himself for the journey. In 2018, the Lord led Joe and Emily to Cartersville, Georgia. Just two years later, in 2020, they planted Four Points Cartersville, now known as Redemption Hill Church.
Joe holds a B.S. in Business from Bethel College (McKenzie, TN) and an M.A. in Teaching from Trevecca Nazarene University. After a season away from academics, he returned to pursue theological education, earning an M.A. in Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In the fall of 2024, Joe reached another significant milestone by completing his Master of Divinity from Midwestern.
With a unique blend of life experience, academic preparation, and a deep love for the gospel, Joe is passionate about helping others grow in their faith, knowledge of God’s Word, and love for Christ and His people.
